Tomorrow's question: What is the most common nut used in Patranella's desserts?
Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away and many of us are planning to bring our favorite dish to our family or friend’s dinner.
But some hosts are asking for a different way to contribute ... and it’s putting many guests off.
Instead of asking your guests to bring a dish to the celebration, a new trend is to ask guests for money – up front – to help pay for the meal. (The Frisky)
Is this a convenient way to make sure you have everything you need for the dinner or a horribly tacky Thanksgiving request??
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
This is AWESOME!
A sweet 5-year-old boy named Miles is fighting leukemia – and on November 15th, he gets to forget about being sick and gets to be a little boy ... who fights crime.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation and the city of San Francisco are teaming up to transform the City by the Bay into Gotham City. And Miles gets to be Batman.
His day will begin with a ride in the Batmobile. Then, he will be off to perform his Batman duties – like capturing The Riddler, saving a damsel in distress, catching The Penguin ... and getting the key to the city from the Mayor. Go, Miles! (The Frisky)

First Friday in Downtown Bryan! Patranella's is located at 106 N. Parker! Hope to see you!
Everyone knows that Friday is the best day of the week. Turns out, "TGIF" is not just a cute acronym – a new study by British Airways found that it's an actual state of being that impacts Friday afternoon workplace productivity.
Take note, employers – for most worker bees, the weekend actually starts at 2:39 p.m. on Friday, even if they stay at their desk until 5.
In a survey of 2,000 office employees, workers admitted to putting an average of three important tasks on hold until Monday. A quarter said they regularly ignore e-mails on Fridays, and almost one-third said they let their calls go straight to voicemail. There must be a lot of long lunches, internet surfing and office gossip going on Friday afternoons ... Wouldn't the perfect solution be half day Friday?! If no one is working anyway, why not start the weekend early?! (Cosmo)
Carey Hart posted photo's on Instagram of he and 2 year old daughter, Willow, on a dirt bike.
Of course, Carey is married to P!nk. Carey is a professional motocross racer and gave their daughter her first motorcycle ride over the weekend. There are two pictures, one of Willow riding and the other giving her Dad a hug while they are stationary. They are catching flack because Willow was not wearing a helmet!
Pink defended her husband on Twitter by saying " If any of you have more experience on a motorcycle than my husband, then I may listen to your opinion".
What do you think?

Q: What are the color of the flyers for Patranella's?
This is EPIC! Kudo's to this unidentified woman!
The woman had been dating a man for nine months and then, bam, one day, he just wasn’t into her anymore. Six weeks later, she found out via Facebook that he had been hooking up with a recent ex the whole time they had been dating. She wrote:
“Don’t worry, darling. My anger won’t last long. I know your life is already your punishment. A 40-year-old man of mediocre accomplishment who’s incapable of true intimacy, who casually lies and cheats, who’s being sued by his own aunt, who hardly has love of his own family, who has few friends and no community to speak of, who's been living in his musty, forgotten childhood home in suburban New Jersey for almost a year … And then a woman comes along and tries to love him, encourage his dreams, invite him to be her ‘other whole,’ and he repays her kindness with lies, secrecy and a handful of [crappy] chocolates he probably picked up at the airport on his way home from France … This is who you are: an aging, sad, sneaky, devious man …”
YourTango.com has the text in full. And yes, she sent it.

So, dig into some broccoli, spinach, and kale − and give your cells the power they need to stay well during this cold and flu season!
