I am your afternoon "homestretch" host...3pm till 7pm every Monday through Friday...as well as, assistant program/music director.

Be sure to join me every Monday-Friday for Brain Drain Trivia at 3:35pm...i'll have some great prizes for you (like pizza from Blue Baker).

Also tune in for the Retro Ride at 5--you pick the songs and i play them, so try to come up with something you haven't heard in a while and see if i can find it for you...But wait, there's more.  I have the retro rewind at 5:20pm when i play a few seconds of a retro tune backwards and you tell me title and artist for prizes...Cool huh?

The "True Son Of Elvis"
I have been at MIX since 1994, and have lived in Bryan/College Station for, it seems like, FOREVER--but i have loved it here!

Originally, i am from Ennis, Texas and for those that don't know, it's a small town on interstate 45 about 30 miles south of Dallas.  i graduated from Ennis High School and our colors were maroon and white and our fight song--the Aggie War Hym, so since i didn't attend college here, i hope that gives me an Aggie connection in some way.   

I am also a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and i am a "FIghting Lumberjack", so AXE 'EM JACKS!  

I am involved in a lot of local theatre and performing, so when i am in a production, check here from time to time because i will let you know about it so you can come check me out....boo, hiss, cheer--as long as you get there!

The weekend is here and i'll send you into it with winning at 3:35 this afternoon with brain drain trivia for a $25 gift card to Grand Station Entertainment.
During the retro ride at 5, i'll have another family 4 pack to the Bush Library & Museum when i do the retro rewind.  The song is from the 70s, is featured in a movie that opens nationwide today and the name of the group is spelled the same backwards and forwards....good luck!
Looks like another hot weekend so try to stay cool...be sure to come by the first "Stuff the Bus" on Saturday.  KO will be at Office Max on Harvey Rd. in College Station with the Junior League from 1 till 3pm.  Enjoy free food & drinks while you donate to get school supplies for needy kids.  Look at the home page to get more info.

I have the brain drain for you this afternoon at 3:35 for another $25 gift card to Grand Station Entertainment.  And yes it's been a couple days and it's time for another ticket window....it opens between 4 and 5pm for a pair of tickets to see Sheryl Crow and James Blunt at the Woodlands Pavilion.
On the ride home at 5, if you can tell me title and artist of the retro rewind song at 5:20, i'll give you a family 4 pack to the Bush Library & Museum and 2 of the "born to play baseball" t-shirts.  The song is from the 80s, 2 words & a number are in the title and the artist is Canadian (he sang the title song of Kevin Costner's "Robin Hood-Prince of Thieves")...good luck!

It's 2 Fer Tuesday today and i'll be at Ninfa's from 6 till 8pm.  Before that though, i have brain drain trivia at 3:35 for a $25 gift card to Grand Station Entertainment.
Be sure to make it out to Ninfa's tonight....i'll have great deals and lots of MIX prizes, including tickets to see Martina McBride and Jack Ingram this Saturday at the Woodlands Pavilion.  I'll be looking for you there...till then, i'll see ya on the radio.
